Based on the Laurel and Hardy motion picture March of the Wooden Soldiers

 

From the opening celebration in Mother Goose Land to the triumphant March of the Wooden Soldiers, the adventure of 'Babes in Toyland' is a treat for the entire family. The Widow Piper, who you might know as 'the woman who lived in a shoe' takes care of a village of Mother Goose Rhyme children, including Mary Quite Contrary and Alan, the nephew of the evil Uncle Barnaby.

 

Mary Contrary and Alan run off to the Northpole to the Master Toymaker's shop to escape from the evil ways of Barnaby. Despite Barnaby's well laid plans to follow and defeat Santa's Northpole, Barnaby is met with a quirky reception of characters that have learned to defend themselves and rise triumphant with the help of some very special Wooden Soldiers.

 

The reworked music and contemporary touch makes Babes in Toyland an updated classic for children and parents; just in time to celebrate the holidays together enjoying a delightful musical treat and story which inspired and operetta, 3 major films, and our current musical presentation.

 

This presentation comes to the stage of the iconic Woodstock Playhouse featuring the Woodstock Playhouse Productions Holiday Cast 2017 as members of the regional company widely known for some of the finest performances in our NY & tri-state region. Youth actors come to the stage from the New York Conservatory for the Arts and our own region's rising talent.

 

Length of Performance: Approximately 90 minutes

•$25 for Senior Citizens and Students

 

•$29 for Adults

 

Each ticket will also include a $3 convenience charge.

 

All seating is Reserved Seating with your choice of seating in any section of the theater.

Click on each desired type and date of ticket you wish to purchase in the 'Online Box Office purchase area.  Once added, go to your cart through the link at the bottom or top of the page and specify the number of each ticket choice you would like.  

 

When completing your order, remember to click on the shipping line of your order to specify 'Pick Up' or 'Mail'.

 

Be sure to include your phone number, in case we need to contact you.  Once you proceed to pay for your order, you may type a request any special seating (i.e. handicap seating, specific desired seating, etc.) in the 'note to...' appropriate box. If the requested seat is not available, you will be given the next best seat available in the section requested. Keep in mind that patrons review our house with the same words over and over:  "The Woodstock Playhouse is where every seat is the best seat in the house."
