Stop Zena Development Fundraiser featuring Bread+Puppet

Saturday, April 18th of 2026
Event 7PM, Doors Open at 6:30PM

For more than two years, the Stop Zena Development coalition has been advocating to save 600+ acres of forest in Woodstock and Ulster. The coalition, convened by Woodstock Land Conservancy with concerned community members, has worked to halt the proposal to build dozens of million-dollar houses in a beautiful forest. Legal fees are mounting, so tonight's proceeds will go directly to helping the coalition continue to fight to save the forest, the waterways, the wildlife, the flora and the fauna from destruction.

PLEASE NOTE:
Bread & Puppet describes its shows as "political and spectacular." Current national and global events -- like militarism, capitalism, ecology, Gaza and Iran -- may be featured in the performance. Both the Stop Zena Development coalition and the Woodstock Playhouse support performers' First Amendment rights, but we are nonprofit organizations focused on service to our local communities rather than national or global politics.
