CASTING FOR THE 2021 SUMMER STOCK SEASON
As we approach the Woodstock Playhouse Summer Festival of Theatre 2021, our plans are to have a season featuring either live-audience performances or live-streaming performances or a hybrid thereof. The selection of show titles will be announced as we get closer to NYC virtual audition dates.
We are seeking cast members that are dynamic, talented, passionate and willing to join us on our adventure, as we embark into our Summer Festival of Theatre. Specifically, we are looking for strong Singer/Dancer (including tap)/Actors; those who can embrace inspired media exposure and audience interest for the full summer season; with housing, meals and a salary provided.
Past performers from the Woodstock Playhouse Summer Stock Seasons include those who have become cast members of Broadway’s The Book of Mormon, Dance Captain & Cast Member of SpongeBob SquarePants the Musical, King Kong, Mean Girls, Radio City Music Hall’s Christmas Spectacular, National and International Tours of West Side Story, Rent, Ghost, Fiddler on the Roof, A Chorus Line, 42nd Street, Once, Elf, as well as cast members and creative staff for Joel Grey’s Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish.
We work hard, become family, respect each other and ourselves. We look to be the best we can be and surpass the expected. If you see yourself as this kind of a person, then we welcome your audition.
If you are unable to join us for the StrawHat or A1 auditions, you are invited to submit an online audition via email to WoodstockPlayhouseCasting2021@gmail.com; be sure to include your headshot, resume and MT Reel including vocals and tap & jazz dance.
We are also hiring tech crew including Stage Manager, Technical Director/Sound Engineer, Lighting Designer and interns/box office. Those applying for tech positions, please submit resumes or cvs.
