In A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS, the professional actors of the Woodstock Playhouse Production Company will be bring to life Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the other Peanuts characters as they grapple with the real meaning of Christmas. When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism he sees among everyone during the Christmas season, Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas pageant. Charlie Brown accepts; but this proves to be a frustrating endeavor. When an attempt to restore the proper holiday spirit with a forlorn little Christmas fir tree fails, he needs Linus’ help to remind himself of what the real meaning of Christmas is. A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS was first shown as an animated television special in 1965 and has been part of the holiday tradition ever since.
With some more Wonder-filled Winter Magic and with help from the youth performers from our community's own New York Conservatory for the Arts, FROSTY THE SNOW MAN comes to life, parading through town to the famous tune delighting every kid and warming the holiday spirit in every adult.
