About
the Woodstock Playhouse
The
Woodstock Playhouse, the oldest continually operating summer stock
theatre in New York State, burned to the ground on Memorial Day in
1988. Only through the tireless efforts of dedicated community
members - and support of public officials - has this precious space
been preserved and reborn for the performing arts. Stay with
us as we gear up to continue operations while also planning for our
full enclosure! |

With your help, Woodstock
can once again have a large professional indoor venue for the presentation of
ALL music events, theatre, dance, film, festivals and educational programs. You
helped us to buy the property, build the outdoor space, expand the stage
and dressing rooms - now stay with us for our
next phase as we bring this professional performing arts venue back to the
"Colony of the Arts."
